Ana is well-known in the Moraga Community for her leadership in several key places.  For nearly a decade Ana has been deeply involved in MEF, serving in many Board positions. Through her passion, inspiration, and expertise, she has raised millions of dollars for our public schools,  including guiding the 2024 Measure D campaign to successfully raise $52 million for school infrastructure improvements.

Also in 2024 Ana was an integral member of the 50th Anniversary Committee, and almost single handedly, conceived and brought to life a beautiful Community Cookbook that now holds hundreds of recipes from Moraga residents plus bits of Moraga history, a true masterpiece. But it also played a vital role in funding the celebration, a need Ana saw and stepped forward to fill.  In 2015 the issue of gun safety emerged in Moraga which again drew on Ana’s courageous, tactful, community-building skills which led the Town Council to create a gun safe storage ordinance.

What Ana Moon brings to our community is her ability to see needs that must be addressed, and then figures out how to get others involved, works with the key stakeholders, and pushes for change with creativity, inspiration, and knowledge.
